    Are Mailboxes Important?

    Tuesday, February 16th, 2010

I was doing my daily regular round of Entrecard dropping when I stumbled upon a blog post about decorative mailboxes. It seems that in countries like Canada and the US having mailboxes, residential mailboxes for private homes and commercial mailboxes for businesses, is a big deal. They even have websites where people can purchase mailboxes in various styles and designs.

    Mailboxes

I guess here at home, we don’t think too much of whether we need a mailbox or not for our house or home. I don’t see many homes that have them. Those homes that do have mailboxes, they kinda have it built into their gates and I don’t think they are being used either. I can say that mailboxes are not that widely used or common here in our country unlike in most western and modernized countries like Canada and the US. (more…)

Union Bank San Pablo, Wish We Have One

    Saturday, January 23rd, 2010

Now that it is almost certain that our humble city will be having it’s very own SM Mall, I’m wishing that Union Bank of the Philippines opens a branch in it. Why? Because I have a Debit Card account with them. LOL!

    Credit Cards

Currently, I have to go to Union Bank Alabang Town Center every time I need to renew my card and if I want to add funds to it then the closest branch to San Pablo City is in Calamba City, Laguna. Come to think of it, San Pablo City has many banks but, unfortunately, the one where I have an active account in does not have a branch here. (more…)

    Speaking of Web Hosting…

    Sunday, January 17th, 2010

A few days ago I posted about where SanPabloCity.net is hosted. Today, I’ll post about why I selected BlueHost from the many web hosting provider that are out there in the web. Before BlueHost, my websites, including SanPabloCity.net, are hosted in Site5. I never had any problems with Site5 and compared to BlueHost, I think they provide a better Customer Support. The only reason I left Site5 was because they stopped accepting payments using specialized card like Electron and Maestro. That was bad for me because I don’t have nor own any credit card to pay for my web hosting and, back then, Site5 don’t accept PayPal as well (not sure if they accept PayPal now).

    Web Hosting

With my hosting expiring in less than a month, I was in hurry to find a new host to move to. My choices back then were BlueHost and Hostgator. A friend who used to own a Web Hosting Business suggested Hostgator but, unfortunately, I was a few dollars short. In other words, I ended up with BlueHost. (more…)

    Stars and Politicians

    Sunday, January 17th, 2010

Last night, we watched Congresswoman’s Night at home on a Local Cable Channel. The program featured both Kapuso and Kapamilya Stars and Politicians from the Liberal Party. In fact, it was more like a Pre-Liberal Party Campaign Meeting with Politicians from the Liberal Party taking the stage. As if, the stars where only there to get the people to stay and listen to them.

    Noynoy Aquino

Nonetheless, Congresswoman’s Night was more entertaining than the Mayor’s Night which turned out to be boring as hell. (more…)
