I should have posted this yesterday but the constant power fluctuations before and during typhoon Santi kind of messed up my computer’s CMOS settings. Anyway, how was everyone before, during and after the typhoon?

I’m not exactly sure of the time when Typhoon Santi actually passed over San Pablo City but I think electricity went out at around 1:00 am that day and went back around 9:00 am or 10:00 am in the morning (same day). The first thing we did when the electricity was restored was to watch the news on TV.
I don’t think Typhoon Santi did as much damage as Typhoon Ondoy but it still left its mark. Calauan and Victoria was flooded, as reported in ANC, and the video below shows how strong the winds of Typhoon Santi were when it passed over Pila.
Below is another video taken in Sta. Cruz, Laguna where a bridge was washed away. Hope no one got hurt there.
Fortunately for us here in San Pablo City, our city is way above sea level so flooding won’t be a problem for us (I think) but, of course, we still have to prepared during times like this because anything can happen during a typhoon.
Oops, almost forgot that it’s All Saints Day today. I won’t be going today because, typhoon or not, the cemetery will be filled with people. I guess we will go tomorrow. In any case, be safe everyone.

We have to thank God for keeping us San Pablenos and our City safe from calamities, natural disasters and we need to help and pray for those people affected by these calamities.. but we also need to prepare ourselves and be more dicipline…by simply not throwing plastic candy wraps, or cigarette butts into the street that will later cause problems with our drainage systems or rivers or waterways will be a big help in keeping our city a safe place to live…love our neighbor and our environment!
