One thing that I am proud of about San Pablo City is that it is one of the Greenest Cities in the Philippines. Green? Greenest? What does it mean? From what I have read, being green means that it is an Eco and an environmentally friendly place. Now, speaking of being green, did you know that Switzerland is one of the most Greenest Countries in the World? This is because of their tough stance on pollution and they have created Legislation that has greatly reduced the amount of pollution created by its people. Switzerland also promotes personal responsibility by charging fees for their water and waste management services and charge environmental taxes as well.
Green and Yellow! A perfect combination!
These have made traveling to Switzerland a Green Fantasy and here are some of the things that make Switzerland a Green Wonderland that it is today:
- train travel is easily accessible
- bike friendly nation
- green friendly hotels and resorts
- abundance of organic products
Well, it is hard to admit but if gauged using the standards set by Switzerland, San Pablo City, as Green as it may seem, is still far away from it but fortunately we are slowly getting there. The national as well as the local government have already taken some steps in that direction. Laws have already been passed, we just have to implement and enforce them and that is what we lack right now, implementation and enforcement.

two ways lang po ang kaylangan one is the Political Will of those elected local government officials and second yun Dicipline nang mga taga San Pablo. I’m not endorsing any presidential candidate but it’s worth looking at the the progress sa both economy and environment nang Marikina city,at yung Metro Gwapo projects sa Metro Manila, kung na iimplement nila un sa metromanila kung saan may more than 10 million na population why not here in San Pablo! kung gusto natin umunlad o luminis ang San Pablo kaylangan nang mganda at napapanahon na projects na magmumula sa local government, proper implementation lang nang mga existing laws natin both local and national, then the people will follow. just for example, paglalagay nang local government nang mga trash bin sa major thoroughfares (which sad to say, wala dito sa San Pablo) para ang mga kababayan natin mawalan sila nang reason para magtapon na lang sa kalye mga basura nila, maglagay nang loading and unloading areas para maayos ang traffic, ayusin ang palengke, lagyan nang railings or barrier ang mga kalye para mga tao di kung saan saan tumawid, lagyan nang proper pedestrian lanes, mga sidewalk alisan nang mga illegal na vendors i relocate sila sa proper na lugar, pagandahin ang environment, maglagay nang mga halaman or trees sa mga sidewalks and I believe magkakaroon nang sense na makiisa mga kababayan natin at di imposible na maging green and progressive ang San Pablo.
oh God another green post. the technology for the green is still premature, that’s why the green technology is so expensive. the best way to make the green earth is to support the scientist. with hope they will find out the green technology that cheap ^_^
