Furnitures Made From Molave
These past weeks, my wife and I have been doing some walking around Sampalok Lake. We usually leave our place at around five in the morning and get back home at around seven.
Now, taking an early morning walk around Sampalok Lake is a great exercise. It does not put too much pressure on your body and it’s quite relaxing specially with the cool morning breeze brushing against you while you are walking. The feeling is very refreshing and relaxing. Everyone should definitely do it.
During our walks around Sampalok Lake, there is a location where furnitures made from what looks like raw wood are displayed along the side of the street. At first, there were only a few of them but we noticed that everyday the number of furnitures displayed was increasing.
Those displayed are sets for the living room, chairs, tables, stools, benches, swings and there are even water fountains made from clay.
One day, I brought with me my almost obsolete digital camera and asked an old man, who we believe was in-charge, permission to take some photos. We also assumed that they were made from Narra but the old man corrected us and told us that the pieces were made of Molave.
They look really good. By the way, don’t ask me how much they cost because I don’t know and I also didn’t ask. He he he!
Anyway, if anyone is interested and would like to see them then just drop by Sampalok Lake and walk or drive around it. I guarantee that you won’t miss it.
